When can I wear the light brown oxfords from Miler Menswear?
Light brown oxfords are perfect for occasions with a lower level of formality. Many men wear them to work, they are a pleasure to pair with business outfits, and they are sometimes chosen for social outings in the city.
How was the sole made on the light brown oxfords from Miler Menswear?
We are well aware of all the charms of wearing leather shoes. After years of experience with such footwear, we know that nothing is more important than the quality of the leather from which they are made. However, the main limitation of leather shoes lies in the leather sole, which inevitably wears down over time and, in winter, can lead to slips and falls. For a long time, we considered how we could create shoes that are not only visually appealing but also significantly more functional in terms of the sole. As a result, we opted for prestigious leather soles that are partially rubberized in areas most exposed to wear. This allows you to:
- → protect the sole in areas most exposed to wear while still showcasing that it is made of leather.
- → prevent the sole from soaking through.
- → provide the wearer with slip resistance, addressing a common issue with leather soles in certain conditions.
- → save customers the time and expense of finding a cobbler to add protective rubber to their shoes.
The light brown oxfords from Miler Menswear are shoes made using the Blake construction method.
Blake is a traditional and highly regarded method of shoemaking, historically associated with the world of Italian elegance. What does this technique involve? It consists of stitching the sole directly to the upper of the shoe. Lyman Reed Blake patented his shoe-sewing machine in 1858, marking a major revolution in footwear production. While not denying the advantages of the most prestigious shoemaking method—Goodyear welting—with its ability to replace the sole and its greater resistance to rain and snow, it is also important to highlight the benefits of the Blake construction. In the Blake technique, the welt of the sole is slightly narrower than in Goodyear-welted shoes, giving them a more streamlined appearance. The Blake sole is also highly flexible, which has earned it a loyal following among those who value exceptional comfort. For all these reasons, the Italian footwear industry has embraced Blake construction as its preferred method.
What distinguishes this type of shoe?
Men’s oxford shoes are a type of footwear that is characterized by a high level of versatility. This footwear can be successfully worn for highly formal occasions as well as in less formal situations. It is no coincidence that oxfords are so often chosen, for example, when putting together a wedding outfit—they are a safe and classic option. During such an important event, they ensure a flawless and polished appearance. And that’s not all! Afterwards, they will make excellent companions for business meetings, for instance. These are certainly not shoes that will sit unused in your wardrobe! This type of shoe is defined by its “closed lacing”. This means the tongue is only visible at the point above the laces. It’s worth noting that formal shoes typically do not reveal this part. Men’s oxfords, therefore, meet all the standards of classic male elegance.
HOW TO READ A SIZE CHART?
To make it easier for our customers to choose the size of classic footwear, we express our sizing not by the length of the shoe insole but by the length of the foot, which can easily be measured by oneself in the way described below.
1. Place a tape measure or ruler on the floor so that its beginning touches a surface perpendicular to the floor, such as a wall or a piece of furniture (e.g., a wardrobe or the leg of a table):
2. Stand on the measuring tape in such a way that your heel rests against any piece of furniture with a surface perpendicular to the floor:
3. Read the length of your foot, then compare the measurement with our size chart and choose your size:
NOTE:
If your big toe is not the longest toe on your foot, align the toe that extends the furthest on the measuring tape.
Knowing the length of your foot in cm, you can easily choose the right size of Miler Menswear shoes. The foot shown in the photo measures 26.7 cm, which makes the appropriate size 41.5 EUR or 7.5 UK.
The size chart presented applies to the Miler Menswear last marked with the symbol MiMe - Reg, on which we also craft other shoe models. This is a great convenience because once you determine the size of your first pair of Miler Menswear shoes, purchasing another pair will be just a formality – shoes made on the same last will fit your foot in exactly the same way.
Miła atmosfera i piękne buty
Serdeczne pozdrowienia.
