WHAT DO VITALITÉ PERFUMES SMELL LIKE?

CONCEPTUAL DESCRIPTION – WHAT WE WANTED TO ACHIEVE

Vitalité is an unconventional composition that combines lightness and complexity. It is an energizing and fresh fragrance, serving as a perfect counterbalance to the heavy and intense scents that often form the foundation of men’s fragrance collections.

PROFESSIONAL DESCRIPTION – FRAGRANCE NOTES IN THE PERFUME

In the world of perfumery, fragrance compositions are most commonly described through a three-part structure of perceivable aromas: top notes, heart notes, and base notes — also known as high, middle, and base accords.

Top notes (high accord)

These are the most volatile notes, detected immediately after application. This accord is crucial to the fragrance as it creates the “first impression.” It can be described as the starting point from which the perfume evolves over the course of many hours.

Heart notes (middle accord)

These consist of aromatic compounds with slightly lower volatility than the top notes. They are usually very delicate in character, yet they effectively fill out the fragrance composition, adding depth and complexity.

Base notes (base accord)

These are aromas derived from fragrance compounds with the lowest volatility, which are released from the skin over an extended period, giving the scent its lasting character.

WOVEN JACQUARD LABEL

Undoubtedly, a key visual hallmark of the Miler Menswear fragrance collection is the use of jacquard woven labels, which serve as a bridge between the worlds of perfumery and elegant clothing. On our perfume bottles, we use the same jacquard garment labels that are widely applied in Miler Menswear clothing. Naturally, the challenge lies in the weaving resolution, as perfume bottle labels are small in size, yet we aim to showcase a detailed signet (the graphic element of the brand's logo), decorative elements, and very fine lettering. Achieving this effect was not easy, but we ultimately succeeded—giving us the sense that we have translated the essence of our tailoring into the perfume bottle. It is also worth noting that the label on the Vitalité perfume is machine washable, meaning it is fully resistant to water and detergents.

What is eau de parfum and how does it differ from eau de toilette?

The compounds responsible for the various aromas in perfumes are fragrance oils. These oils are obtained through different methods such as distillation, extraction, or concentration of selected plant elements like leaves or flowers, as well as from compounds produced through chemical synthesis.

Since fragrance oils are the most expensive component of a perfume composition, the price of a fragrance is generally linked to their concentration. For this reason, depending on the level of fragrance oil content, scents are classified into different categories that correspond to their degree of perfuming:

• Parfum extract (Fr. Extrait de Parfum) – 44–60%
• True perfume (Fr. Parfum) – 15–43%
• Eau de Parfum (abbreviated EdP) – 10–20% – 10–20%;
• Eau de Toilette (abbreviated EdT) – 5–15%
• Eau de Cologne (abbreviated EdC) – 3–8%
• Refreshing water (Fr. Eau Fraîche) – 1–3%

Although this classification is widely used in the world of perfumery, certain overlaps make it somewhat imprecise—some concentration ranges are shared across different categories. For example, the 20% fragrance oil content in Vitalité allows it to be classified as both Parfum (true perfume) and Eau de Parfum (EdP). However, at Miler Menswear, we have chosen to present and communicate our fragrance as Eau de Parfum.

PROJECTION AND LONGEVITY OF VITALITÉ PERFUME

Projection and longevity are parameters inseparably linked to the world of perfumery, so it's worth understanding what they refer to.

WHAT IS PROJECTION?

Simply put, projection refers to a fragrance’s ability to radiate from the skin into the surrounding air. Naturally, impressive projection requires the presence of highly volatile compounds that can quickly disperse and make the scent noticeable to others nearby.

WHAT IS FRAGRANCE LONGEVITY?

It is the ability of a fragrance to remain noticeable on the skin for an extended period of time.

Miler Vitalité is a fragrance with a concentration reaching as high as 20%. The carefully crafted composition of top, heart, and base notes ensures strong projection (without being overpowering, which is often considered a flaw) and notable longevity. In the world of perfumery, it is often emphasized that concentration alone does not determine a fragrance’s longevity—the structure and balance of the composition are equally important.

HOW CAN YOU USE MILER VITALITÉ PERFUME?

Miler Vitalité perfume remains valid for 36 months after opening. Even with its impressive longevity and projection, this period should be more than sufficient to fully enjoy and use up such a charming and refined fragrance.
