A boho wedding suit is without a doubt one of the most interesting styles to have emerged in wedding fashion in recent years. Today, we’d like to show you our interpretation of this style — it might just turn out to be the perfect choice for you!
What is boho style?
Although many people associate boho with the hippie subculture, this style has been a part of a subtle counterculture for over two hundred years — one based on the freedom of self-expression. Boho style is a blend of creatively used artistic elements that radiate naturalness and a freedom of expression unrestrained by rigid social norms. There are two alternative interpretations describing the origins of the boho style. Some claim that its roots go back to 19th-century France, where, after the French Revolution, artists fell out of social favor, which forced them to wear old clothes that they decorated in creative ways. Others believe that the founders of the boho style were the Romani people from Bohemia — a historical region of the Czech lands — who rejected social norms and lived according to their own values. The name “boho” comes from the French word la bohème (“bohemia,” “artistic community”), which in turn derives from the Latin word bohemus, meaning “a resident of Bohemia.” In men’s wedding fashion, the boho style represents a rejection of classical norms. Since elegance traditionally dictates marrying in a dark suit and black shoes, the boho style may instead take the form of a light or brown suit paired with semi-formal brown leather shoes.
What fabric is this?
The presented boho wedding suit is made of tropical wool. What are its characteristics? It’s a fabric made from high-twist wool with a low weave density — in simpler terms, there are larger gaps between the warp and the weft. This structure ensures excellent breathability and comfort when worn in the summer. The fabric was dyed as yarn (before weaving), which gives it a pleasant mélange effect in various shades of gray.

Our suit is designed to emphasize freedom and ease. It’s meant to be lightweight, breathable, and comfortable. The jacket has no lining, and the front interlinings are very soft. The narrow sleeves and patch pockets also highlight its relaxed, informal character. The boho wedding suit is completed with brown monk shoes. The whole look is truly beautiful.

Boho style at the wedding!
When we began planning our boho wedding photoshoot, we delved into the essence of this style, wondering how to break all the rules while still creating something that tastefully enhances the groom’s image. Breaking the rules doesn’t mean ignoring aesthetics. Therefore, we decided to go for the antithesis of the most common wedding combination — the classic pairing of a formal navy suit and black shoes. We asked ourselves: Can the groom wear a light-colored outfit? Of course he can! That’s how our look, which we’re presenting today, came to life. Alongside the Miler Menswear suit worn by Marcin, you can also see a beautiful wedding dress made in the bridal salon of Anna Lachor in Poznań.
