For what occasion to wear a checkered suit?

There will be no problem with the occasions during which you can put it on, because it is extremely universal. In addition, the variety in the appearance of such a suit is almost limitless. It may have different color combinations, the type and size of the check pattern, as well as the material from which it was made. One checkered suit will look very formal, while another will have a very casual feel. Depending on these aspects and the rest of the outfit we decide on, such clothes will be suitable for an ordinary day at work, a date or dinner with friends, but also for family celebrations or even a wedding. It will be a great choice for a guest, and with a very subtle check and appropriate accessories, even for the groom.

How to match the rest of your outfit with a checkered suit?

A styling around a checkered suit can be built taking into account our taste or mood on a given day, but it is also important to be aware of the circumstances in which we are going to be. If we can afford complete freedom, one of the options is to choose even an ordinary t-shirt without printing, for example in white, black or navy blue. Checkered suits also look great with sweaters or turtlenecks in various colors. During winter, we can be dressed warm and stylishly at the same time!

If, on the other hand, the situation requires a higher degree of elegance, we can easily use our checkered suit again. To a v-neck sweater, let’s choose a shirt and tie. We can also give up a sweater or change the tie for a bow tie.

Let’s not forget about a pocket square...

During formal occasions, its presence in our breast pocket will also be appreciated. Special occasions, such as our wedding, require a white linen pocket square, which is an absolute classic. Another option is a colorful silk pocket square, which is great especially for semi-formal occasions.

What should a well-fitted suit look like?

For some time now, suits with a light shoulder padding that reflect their natural line have definitely stood out. The lapels of the jacket should be about half the width of our shoulders. If it has a slightly lowered mid-point, it will divide the figure into two parts, which has a very positive effect on our appearance. We should also remember that the sleeves should not be too short, but at the same time should not extend more than a few centimeters beyond the wrist. The jacket should also cover our buttocks.
