This technique involves stitching the sole directly to the upper of the shoe. Lyman Reed Blake received a patent for his shoe-sewing machine in 1858, revolutionizing footwear production at the time. While we fully acknowledge the advantages of the most prestigious shoemaking method—Goodyear welting—such as the ability to replace the sole and greater resistance to rain and snow, it is equally important to highlight the benefits of Blake construction. In Blake construction, the edge of the sole is slightly narrower than in Goodyear-welted shoes, making them appear more streamlined. The Blake sole is also very flexible, which has earned it many admirers for its exceptional comfort. For these reasons, Blake construction has become the leading method in the Italian footwear industry. This is precisely how our oxfords are made.

Black cap-toe Oxfords are a classic and formal men’s shoe that every man should have in his wardrobe. However, shoes are not just about the style of the upper — fit is equally important. Many men in Poland have wide feet, which don’t match the narrow lasts commonly found on the market.
